Ghosts: Are they Real?

Note: Before I get started, I want to apologize for posting so late, stuff came up.

Do ghosts exist? Does our life force really leave our bodies and roam the Earth forevermore after our death or do we just sit in our graves for eternity? Many questions have been asked about this type of subject - the topic of paranormal phenomena.

We've all seen the ghost-hunting shows such as A Haunting, The Othersiders, Ghost Hunters, etc. and usually believe them to be true, but if we go into a haunted place at night will we experience the same things; the same sounds or apparitions that these professional investigators had seen/heard? Try going to a haunted place. :)

Okay, now onto my thoughts. How are we totally sure that spirits actually exist and if so, what proof? And before you jump to conclusions saying "Oh, well, people have posted pictures and videos of experiences of them," there are scientific explanations for them. Now, I'm sure you're expecting some backup evidence of this explanation, but as for now, I am unable to. Yes, I suck at debate. >>

*Ahem*. Anyways. Personally, I've never really experienced anything paranormal while my brother and mother have, which is weird for me. In my opinion, it's kind of like you tend to find stuff you're not actually looking for; in my case, I admit I am sort of fearful of them but never really seen/heard anything. Can't explain why, but just happens.

I think I shall wrap this up now. Post your comments on whether you believe in ghosts and/or if you've experienced anything like that. Please don't cause arguments or spam for they will be deleted on sight. Thanks!

P.S.: I realize that my blogging skills are really bad and inadequate. Can someone help me?! ;.;

To Be Aspie or NT?

If you had the choice to become an Aspie or to remain an NT (NeuroTypical) for the rest of your life, which would you prefer? Would you sacrifice adequate social skills and the ability to gain friends with ease in return for higher intelligence and more logical thinking or would you keep everything as it is? Would you give up the chance to be the popular kid in school to be the outsider or would you want to be normal? After hearing what Asperger's is about--and not in a too detailed of way--and getting a small taste of what it is and how it would affect you, do you think that you would try it out if you had the one chance of experiencing it for yourself? You should ask yourself if you'd want this.

We all long for someone who could relate to us in some way; a single person or a group of people who somewhat share the same interests and struggles to which we can talk to when we need them. Well, if you haven't noticed, there are a lot of support groups for people with both AS/autism and a number of disabilities, so there's always someone who's like you. This raises a question: would you rather be all alone or would you want a buddy who you can talk to about problems in the same area as you?

If you're willing to make a decision, please write it in a comment to this post; I will eventually make a list/poll of those who want to become a smarter person in exchange of popularity, depending on how many votes/comments I receive. But, please, don't be so quick to bias your decision. The best thing to do is think it over and weigh out the benefits/consequences of being an Aspie or remaining NT. The choice is yours. I hope to see you make the right decision.

Thank you. May your decision be the right one. :)

The Letter "K"

[Retrieved from The Letter "K" from Faintest Reality]

Yes, the letter "K", the letter with lots of meanings known to Internet man. It could be short for "okay/ok", a letter form of agreement/acknowledgment, the 11th letter in the Roman alphabet, and people's favorite word and/or letter. If you've been alive for the past 10 or so years, you'll notice in text messages and/or instant messages people sometimes reply "k" as if that's their letter or something... sometimes, people use it a little out-of-context such as a question to them they don't understand or an annoying form of agreement as stated before. It kind of annoys me how so many people on the Internet type this letter all by itself; they're too lazy to type an extra O or adding an "ay" to the end (I mean no offense to anyone, just speaking my mind) and actually be intelligent with their writing. Foreigners are a bold example of this letter usage. For instance, you're talking to someone from another country who doesn't speak too good of English and you ask them a question. About... roughly 45% they will reply with 'k' just to avoid such a question or they don't know how to answer. It would be a lot better if they actually inquired what you ask and/or state to avoid awkwardness and annoyance. I hardly use "k" because I usually say "okay" and "kay" because I'm phosisticated like that. Oh yeah, I make up my own words. =)

So, yeah. People should really start being more efficient in their typing and not replying with a single letter. It'd be better to form actual words to agree with other than "K". Yay.

Welcome to TAG!

Welcome to The Aspie Geek (TAG for short), a blog written by an 18-year old Aspie who wishes to talk about his life and the life of others around him. Learn about how different life could be if your thought processes were a tad different than others' processes. If you never knew about how an Aspie thinks and/or not know what an Aspie was, now is your chance to know - to live vicariously through one's eyes and see what makes us both different and just the same. Now, enter the world through the eyes of an Aspie and think of the world around you in a different way.

For those who don't know what an Aspie is, it is someone diagnosed with a mild form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome, either by official diagnosis or self-suspected. Asperger's Syndrome, herein called AS, is not a joke or a fake disease; it's real as ever and up to 1 in 160 people are born with it. If you think it's just an excuse for people who aren't social or are weird, you are highly mistaken.

For those who joke about its name, such as calling it "Ass-Burgers", I pity you and your lack of a "clever" play-on word that is just flat-out offensive to us Aspies. It may look like it should say "As-perger" with a 'P', but the dude who founded it lived in Austria so they must've pronounced it as 'B'.

Okay, this will wrap it up. Sit down, strap in, and learn what it's like to be an Aspie. Hey, you might pick up a thing or two about stuff you never really thought about. Bai nao!

Think you might be an Aspie? Take this quiz and see if you could be an Aspie. If you are, then kudos to you! If not, at least you'll have an Aspie friend. :)
